“Pretirement” is the decade before retirement when there’s still time to prepare. AARP launched their new word and website to show that planning for retirement isn’t something to fear. Because the truth is, it can seem like the monster hiding in the closet, only getting bigger and scarier as we keep procrastinating. But if the necessary steps are taken early, that monster might actually turn out to be a sweetheart.
